Dan specializes in Non-Profits and Churches. Dan is a senior contributor for the Story Board project. He is our chief learning officer, and he's a master trainer and group facilitator.

Currently: Dan is President and founder of Day2Church, a consulting practive aimed at Churches and non-profits. The concept behind Day2Church is that leaders often gather vision & passion in “Day 1” of their leadership life, but it is the Day 2 implementation and management that makes things happen.

Previously: Serves on the Senior Management Team and pastoral staff for several large churches in the Seattle area. His speciality is building community through small groups and special interest groups. Dan has excellent communication and stand-up training skills, and brings broad experiences in leadership development, training and facilitating, management coaching, and counseling people through sticky situations. 

Education: B.S. Business Administration from S.U.N.Y. of Albany, and ThM. Dallas Theological Seminary.

Purchasing Office Coordinator for a large retail firm in Honolulu.  Directed 10 merchandising managers and 38 hourly employees in 15 stores. It was not easy for an outsider from the Mainland to get respect within the various Hawaiian island cultures. Learned how to move through suspicions and cultural expectations, and engage employees in healthy adult dialogue about the work. Slowly I was able to build trust and common ground with employees on the various islands.
